The iconic Josephine dress, named after Vera's daughter, is a v-neck halter ball gown with a low lace bodice and dramatic flowers at the neck. The gorgeous black multi-layered tulle skirt sits atop layers of champagne crinkled tulle. The exposed back is absolutely magnificent. The Jacqueline veil completes the statement look and is a masterpiece on it's own. The entire dress and veil are works of art, and everyone I ran into at the venue absolutely gasped at the masterpiece. You can read more about the dress in Vera Wang's own words as she herself describes it on her blog "Behind the Dress."
I'm 5'2 and normally wear a size 0. I wore 4" heels with this dress. I wore this dress only once for 7 hours during my wedding on Aug. 22, 2020. One of the bustle buttons popped off, which Vera Wang mentioned may happen since the bustle buttons are very delicate. Don't forget a safety pin kit for backup in case this happens to you. I can also provide complete written out bustling instructions. This dress has been preserved by Jeeves of Bulgaria in NY and comes in a preservation box!
