I felt absolutely amazing getting married in this beautiful dress. This was only the second dress I tried on, but fifty dresses later, I couldn't find anything to match its elegance. So I found it on Nearly Newlywed! This dress was a sample and had some seriously stretched out lace when it got to me. I decided to keep it but I invested in some expert tailoring, so the lace on the shoulders has been painstakingly reformed, and my tailor added barely-noticeable white spaghetti straps under the lace, to prevent further stretching and to make the dress that much more secure. My tailor also let the dress out; I'm not sure what size it is technically, but I can tell you that at the time of my wedding I wore a normal US 8. You could certainly take it in if you are smaller, but fair warning: there isn't enough fabric left inside the seams to let it out any more. The dress is in very good shape overall. I did have it professionally cleaned right after the wedding. However, my wedding was in the great outdoors and there are some minor grass marks on the bottom two inches of the hem. I am 5'8", so if you are shorter and plan to have it hemmed, problem solved! Thanks to Nearly Newlywed - I couldn't have afforded this gorgeous dress at full price. I hope another bride can get as much joy from it as I did!
